Our buddies and fellow Orlando neighbors Bret and Charissa Kane's home is featured in Atomic Ranch magazine. Check out the Spring 2007 issue for an amazing 7 page article written by another pal of ours, Sandra Carr.

The article traces the history of their 1,700 sq. ft. 1957 Florida ranch home. When they moved in, they found the original blueprints designed by Hailey Smith as well as The Parade of Homes brochure which their home (called "The Shamrock") was featured.

Bret, Charissa and Sandra were also able to track down the original homeowners son, John Harrell. He came over to see how they restored his childhood home to its original beauty. They also found the builder of the home, Elwood E. Waller III of E.E. Waller & Son.

Bret and Charissa have done an excellent job with their 50s home. They have a fantastic eye for detail and strongly believe in preservation. I am so glad they kept their original pink 50s oven and countertops as well as their pastel colored 50s tile bathrooms. Their home is warm and inviting. We have gone to many parties at their house. Charissa always cooks up a storm and Bret keeps the tiki drinks a-flowing!
