I love these limited edition Panton chairs. The S chair was originally designed in 1960 by Verner Panton. This year Vitra is producing two limited quantity colors - pink and light blue - available exclusively through hivemodern.com.

Love the new pastel colors. Just in time for Easter!
I fell in love with Richard Schultz outdoor furniture when I went to Palm Springs last year. He designed amazing outdoor chairs for Florence Knoll back in the 1960's. These cool chairs are in production again. Hooray!
Check out these rockin' Single and Double Rockers. Just in time for Spring too!
My friend Ralfonso is this amazing kinetic artist in West Palm Beach Fl. I wrote about him on my blog last year. He designs huge monumental kinetic sculptures and he is the founder of the KAO, or Kinetic Art Organization. He sent me this invite to his kinetic art exhibition that is going to be held in West Palm on April 3. I am going to be in sunny Florida real soon to visit friends and family but unfortunately I won't be able to attend his party. April 1st we are going on our second honeymoon to check out amazing architecture in Barcelona, Paris and Prague. Wow!
If you live in Florida near West Palm Beach, you should check out his kinetic exhibition.

The T.W.A. terminal at JFK airport is getting some serious cash. $19 million to be exact. The Port Authority of NY and NJ plan to renovate the famous Eero Saarinen designed terminal. It will reopen as the Jet Blue Portal for the enormous new JetBlue Airways terminal that wraps around the T.W.A. building in a crescent shape. I can't wait. I love flying on JetBlue and I have always wanted to check out the Saarinen terminal. Wow!

When we renovated our kitchen in our 1950's ranch house, I remember what "joy" it was to scrape through and peel off layer upon layer of tacky wallpaper. I had to remove four layers of wallpaper to be exact. I guess there was a layer of wallpaper put on for almost each decade of the life of the house. I have a good suggestion for the quick and easy removal of wallpaper, hire a professional! What a b*tch it was to do it ourselves, eek!
Just when you think the wallpaper nightmare is over, guess what? Wallpaper is back. But this wallpaper is really nice. A tasteful nod to the googie atomic era. You can find nifty fifties style wallpaper at Bradbury & Bradbury. They have some neato "Mid-Century Modern", "Tropical Tiki", or "Sputnik" designs for your retro style.

Yesterday we took Grayson to the Modern Show in New York City. You know babies love modern design.

The show featured a ton of 20th century modern furniture, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, art, etc. Speaking of art, I had to talk Brian out of buying a $4000 painting yesterday. I really want to go on a vacation. Ha!
The show was a lot of fun, try to make it if you are in the NYC area.
