A Dash into The Dashing Diva

My pal Charissa and I snuck away from the husbands and the kiddies for a highly deserved girls night out. We decided to treat ourselves to pedicures. The Dashing Diva Nail Salon (on 7th Ave in Park Slope Brooklyn, NY) caught my eye a few weeks back. What woman can resist those oh so girly pink colors and ultra glam, mega mod decor?

We went inside and picked out our colors. I was so surprised to discover their Extra Virgin Collection of polishes. 8 shades that contain no DBP, toluene or formaldehyde. Perfect for me because ever since I got pregnant last year, I have "gone green" and I am now very careful about beauty products, cleaning products, foods, etc.

The salon experience was quite nice. We relaxed on their comfy pink curved sofa bench. A very nice man offered us Cosmos to drink. I am not much of a drinker so I just had water but I am sure they are very good. We both got the Basic Diva Pedicure. All the instruments used were clean and brand new, unwrapped to be used just for me. They also do not use whirlpool foot baths because they can spread fungus. Yuck! The nail tech made my tootsies look so lovely and she finished it off with an exfoliating lotion. I got the lavendar, Charissa got the orange. Oh, and the massage was very nice even though my friend is quite ticklish. Ha!

Check it out. They are opening locations all around the globe. Our pedicures took around 30 minutes and were around $35.
