Brian had to work in NYC this weekend so Campfire put us up in a swank hotel! We stayed at the Hotel Affinia Dumont, a hotel in midtown Manhattan that caters to Jet Set Pets. We took our dog Casey with us.

Casey was so excited to go on his first train ride. Yes, MTA allows pets on the train as long as they lay on the floor near your feet. Wow!

We rode from Croton Harmon Station to Grand Central Terminal. Casey was amazed to see all the people bustling about.

As we walked down Park Ave, Casey felt like a celebrity dog.

We walked past The Empire State Building, The Met Life Building and The Chrysler Building.

We arrived at the Affinia Dumont and the doorman greeted Casey with a biscuit and they also gave us a list of dog friendly places in the city. They upgraded us to a junior suite which had a fluffy king size bed, a kitchen, a sofa, a desk and a gorgeous view of The Chrysler Building.

We ate at the Barking Dog restaurant which was right next door. They had a doggie bar set up outside for the pups. The waitress brought out cold water for our pup to drink. I shared my chicken salad with Casey.

After we ate, Brian had to go to work but when he came back, he and Casey lounged in our hotel room while I went shopping in Herald Square. It is only a few blocks away from the Affinia. Sweet!

We had a relaxing evening, we took Casey for a late night stroll in the city. The next morning, Casey bid farewell to The Big Apple. We went to Grand Central and hopped on the train back to the mountains in Croton.

Visiting Manhattan with a dog is really a lot of fun. It is a remarkably dog friendly city. Casey says, "Next time you go to the Big Apple, don't leave your pooch at home, take him with you!"
