Hans Wegner Dies at 92
Jan 26, 2007. Hans Wegner, the world famous Danish Modern furniture designer has died in his home in Copenhagen at age 92.
His furniture is classic, iconic, mid century Danish modern design. Minimalist yet functional, extremely well-crafted and comfortable.
A quote from Wegner. "The chair does not exist. The good chair is a task one is never completely done with."
My favorite chair by Wegner is the CH07 Chair designed in 1963. Known as "the three-legged shell chair" or "the shell chair", I love this design. It looks like it is smiling at you.
