Happy Andy Warhol-idays! This year for Holiday 2006, Simon Doonan (creative director at Barneys New York) decided to display iconic images of Andy Warhol for their store windows. He calls it an Andy Warhol-iday!
His brilliant windows document the artist's career. They highlight scenes from various decades in Andy Warhol's life. Beginning with the 1950s, when he was starting out as an ad illustrator to the 1980s, when he became a wealthy artist and social butterfly.
The windows also display portraits of Warhol, all done by local children. The artwork will be auctioned off and 100% of the proceeds go to the local children's Art Program.

You can also see Barneys, Macy's, Neiman Marcus and more store displays on HGTV's Holiday Windows 2006. It will air December 10, 2006 5:00 PM ET/PT.
