Brian and I ventured into New York City on Sunday to check out some some of the scene.
We went to DUMBO, yes it is called Dumbo. Stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. It seems like a pretty cool up and coming area. Lots of dogs, kids and families were there playing in the park which has incredible views of Manhattan. I thought it was nice if you could stand the sounds of the subway train going across the bridge. I guess if you live there, you get used to it.

It was a very hot day, so on our way back we stopped off at the Kwik-E-Mart in Times Square. Yes, they transformed a 7 Eleven into a Kwik-E-Mart to promote the Simpsons Movie. It was adorable. They had stand ups of Homer, Marge, Apu and other characters from the show. They also had actual food items from the Simpsons you could buy. I had a refreshing cold Squishee and Brian had a can of Buzz Cola. It was very cute. The store was packed full of people.
