Hukilau 2007 Sarong-o-Rama Fashion Show

Last June, tiki fans gathered at The Hukilau 2007 in beautiful Ft. Lauderdale Fl. One of the fun festivities included a Sarong-o-Rama fashion show. There were 11 models (including Sandra and Kern's sarong model). Monique Vincent and Kiki and David Lenoue submitted their photos and were chosen as the tiki community participants. They modeled their own creations (except Kiki modeled some of Bre-elle's clothes as well as her Tori Richard dress). Some of the individual designers included Ashley Dean Retro Swimwear, Fashion Tramp and The Diva Pinup.

Here are some fun photos from the fashion show. Courtesy of Adrian Sullivan and Sandra Carr.

Kiki Lenoue is wearing a late 1960s/early 1970s jumpsuit with culottes from the Tiki Bree collection (Bre-elle Ishtar--she was selling some of her clothes during the fashion show).

Sandra and Dan Carr sport matching outfits. Sandra is wearing a 1960s dress by Island Fashions. She is holding a 2003 cigar box-style tiki purse by the artist Flounder. The hibiscus flower in her hair was her own creation.

One of the Mai-Kai musicians did a sarong demonstration right before the fashion show finale. Kern Mattei (the Mai-Kai manager) has his own sarong line of clothing.

Sandra Carr and Bre-elle Ishtar were the Sarong-O-Rama fashion show producers.
