I would love to have a party someday on that terrace.

Modern Synagogues

Doubletree Metropolitan, by Morris Lapidus
569 Lexington Ave at 51st Street
Cool Googie style sign!

Huge concrete squares

Citigroup Building, I believe

Wow, what curves!

X marks the spot!
This building was my "holy grail" of the trip. I have wanted to see this building in person for a long time. The Lipstick Building, by Philip Johnson. 885 Third Avenue, between E 53rd and E 54th Streets. The oval contour stands in three layers, resembling an opened lipstick tube. She shimmers and glistens like lipgloss although it is made of red granite and stainless steel. A must see!!
