Our Apartment

Permalink 12:17:47 pm by razen, Categories: About Us, Design, Architecture

We have been living in our new digs at The Octagon for 4 months now and we are settling in quite well. The Octagon is a very special place. It is located on Roosevelt Island just across the East River from Manhattan. The Octagon is a former insane asylum turned into an eco-friendly, high-end design apartment complex. I feel very lucky to live here and I would like to share some photos of our apartment and building with you.

Brian and Vanessa in front of the main entrance. This was part of the original insane asylum. Wow!

Back of The Octagon in Winter. During the Summer we swim in the heated pool, play at the playground and have BBQ's in the park.

View from Grayson's room. North view of the Triborough Bridge now called the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge.

Grayson watches boats go by our living room window all day long.

A tugboat passes by Octagon Park.
