The Stardust hotel and casino in Las Vegas was imploded today March 13, 2007. Goodbye to the famous landmark which was once home to the Aku Aku Polynesian restaurant and tiki bar.

Boyd Gaming announce will tear down the Stardust to build Echelon Place. A planned cost of $4 billion, Echelon Place will cover 63 acres mixing a casino, convention facilities, restaurants, nightclubs and shopping.
We are very sad to see another mid century modern work of art erased.
