Thrift Store Albums Rock

Permalink 10:43:33 am by razen, Categories: About Us, Design

My husband Brian and I are freaks for Thrift Store record albums. We have spent hours upon hours rummaging through thousands of records your grandma gave away. We have travelled all the way from Miami Florida to Seattle Washington looking for space age pop, tiki exotica, cheesecake, or anything that blows our little minds.

Here are my top 10 favorite thrift store album finds. I mainly collect them for the album art. I frame them and hang them on the wall.

Esquivel Other Worlds Other Sounds

Count Basie e=mc2 with atomic bomb blast

Enoch Light Spaced Out. (I was considering naming our baby Enoch)

Jack Costanzo Latin Fever

Art Van Damme Quintet Martini Time (can you say date rape?)

Arthur Lyman Pele

Harry Revel's Music From Out of Space

Nelson Riddle Sea of Dreams

Ferrante and Teicher Soundproof (album art taken from the film Forbidden Planet)

My number 1 all time favorite is Les Baxter Space Escapade. Our buddy Will at Show and Tell Music gave us this one. Thank you Will!
