We are going to the looney bin. Well sort of. We are leaving our Brooklyn buddies to move on to cleaner, greener pastures. We are moving to the Octagon apartments on Roosevelt Island. The Octagon was an insane asylum back in the 1800's. It fell into disrepair and in 2006 it was transformed into an eco-friendly apartment complex. They used local building materials in construction of the building. Everything used is formaldehyde free and the building is tested for air quality. All the plants and grass are treated naturally, without pesticides. The Octagon even won a Green Apple award for sustainable design.

I am so excited to be moving there. Everything is state of the art, brand new. Clean and green for my baby. The view of Manhattan is spectacular! We will have floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides.
Other amenities include a heated swimming pool, barbeque area, playground, dog run, waterside promenade, day care, screening room with huge flat screen tv, billiards room, library, deli, dog walking service, maid service, concierge and more. Wow!
