Hiya! Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile. Been a bit busy. Grayson Danger is almost 3, he's going to Montessori School. I''m preggers with baby #2. We are having a girl. She's due in October.
We moved back to Florida! Couldn't stand the cold winters in NY anymore. We found an amazing 1950's ranch house in Orlando. 4 br, 2 ba with fenced backyard. Open floor plan with fireplace, post and beam like Eichler style. Lots of windows. It is in our old neighborhood, just a few blocks away from where we used to live.
We close on the house tomorrow. Brian has a lot of ideas for the house before we move in. He wants to restore the original terrazzo floors, rip out some closets, redo kitchen, etc. We also want to build a pool in the backyard. I will be posting more pics of our projects in the months to come. I can't wait to decorate this house in our retro mod style.
Last weekend we were on our way to the Cold Spring Fish Hatchery. We took a wrong turn and drove through Levittown NY. Levittown is one of the first post WWII suburbs in the USA. We passed by the Burger King and I spotted all these cool muscle cars parked outside the restaurant. We did a U Turn and drove up to see the show. The Mopar club had all these cool Challengers, Chargers, Barricudas, Super Bees and more on display. They even had the new Challengers parked alongside the classic models. We were in car heaven! We sold our 70s Mustang when we moved to NY. We really want to get another muscle car now that we are living in the burbs again. Should we get a Challenger? New one or classic?
heres the link to my Flickr for more pics from the car show.

I am so glad to be living in the suburbs again. Almost every weekend we have been going to yard sales. In the winter they are called tag sales since no one can really have a yard sale in the snow. Recently I found a set of fantastic plastic Hellerware Dishes for only $5. I love their minimalistic look. So white, plastic and space age!
These were designed back in the 60s by Massimo Vignelli
Every time I go home to visit my family in Orlando, we always go to Walt Disney World. This time we made a stop at Disney's Polynesian Resort Hotel. It is a gorgeous hotel, all decked out in everything tiki. I have stayed there before. I love it. The rooms are fantastic and so is the pool area. The gardens are gorgeous, even in the winter time. They have a luau dinner show and several other restaurants. At O'Hana's you can eat breakfast with Mickey Mouse and Lilo and Stitch.
Here are some photos I took of the tiki decor. Definitely inspires me to do a tiki room this spring.

Happy Snow Day from the Cains at our own White House.
