What tha? I found this cardboard rocket ship at Land of Nod. It is really cute but they want 89 bucks for it. Its made of cardboard. Jeepers! I could make this for free using the recycled boxes in my building. What do you think?
Today, on my way home from the gym, I was pushing Grayson in his stroller and all of a sudden it started raining! Typical New York February weather, right? I stopped and put the weather guard on his Maclaren, then I opened up my umbrella. I held the umbrella in one hand, trying to keep it over my head as I pushed the stroller with the other hand. Did I mention, we live on a slope? I felt so clumsy with the umbrella in one hand and the stroller handle in the other.
When we got home, I read the Daily Candy and voila! The Nubrella was featured! It is an ultra mod, aerodynamic, hands-free umbrella! It has shoulder straps unlike those dorky umbrella hats. It keeps the umbrella over your head and it wont invert when the wind gets a blowin'. Nifty!
Do you think the Nubrella is the "new hotness" or "all wet"?

In honor of Super Tuesday, I thought I would write about one super amazing muscle car, the Plymouth Road Runner Superbird. I bet you didn't know I come from a family of gearheads. Yes I do. My dad and brother are racers. All my life my dad and brother have been buying and restoring hot rods, muscle cars and sports cars. My dad has owned a Corvette for each decade from the 1960's to the present. I wish he still had all those Vettes and so does he. He'd be a rich man.
My dad, brother and I watched hours and hours of the Barrett-Jackson Car Auction on the Speed Channel. They feature the best of the best collector cars out there. One car that caught my eye was the Plymouth Road Runner Superbird. In 1970, Plymouth came out with this badass and bizarre muscle car. It was aerodynamically designed with a smoothed out front nosecone, long sleek body and an enormous rear wing spoiler. It was also equipped with a 426 Hemi engine. My dad and brother say "Hemi's rock! Har Har!". There were only 135 models made which makes this car ultra rare.
This Superbird sold on the Barrett-Jackson auction for $300,000. Wow!

The Plymouth Superbird, is it super cool or super ridiculous? What do you think?
In the early 20th century, companies actually made products out of radioactive materials. This new technology was all the rage and radioactive materials like uranium were used in products ranging from face cream, to spark plugs and even condoms.

The Radium Nutex Condom, now that's taking birth control a little too far. Yowza!
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is suing architect Frank Gehry. It appears he may have gone a little overboard with his unconventional designs. The architect designed the Stata Center, a building chock-full-of of funky angles and walls. The school claims the building is full of leaks and mold. Snow and ice has fallen off the unconventional angles causing damage and blocking emergency exits. Rut Roh!
